about

A dreamy nature piece that derives its groove from Africa, but seems to travel to somewhere in eastern Europe for the choruses.

Like all the tracks on the upcoming album, Natural Compass, this track started off as an improvisation .I played MalletKat on the first pass while Pablo sang. Then Pablo played wooden tongue drum while I played vibes on the 2nd pass, Later, Pablo overdubbed a tiple track (a latin american 10 stringed instrument,) while I played a custom ceramic Udu pot.. Much later, Tiger Paw added a conga track and I played a live shaker. I then edited the track into its present form, which unlike other improvisations I have transformed into compositions, required a bit more "heavy lifting" in order for the piece achieve its present form.
